​The Sports Club held the Football Championship of the Institute, which lasted over three weeks, with participation of (12) teams. The final match took place between (Boca Juniors) and (Royal) teams in the presence of the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs, Vice-Dean for Training and Education, and a number of personnel. The final match witnessed attendance of a large crowd who interacted with the details of the game and innovated in the motivation and encouragement of their colleagues, and the presence of Jubail Industrial City Riders for Tanks added aesthetic atmosphere to the final. The match ended with the Royal Team winning after penalty Kicks as the original time of the match ended in a draw 1-1. The student Ryan bin Rashid Al-Warthan won the best player award in the championship, and the student Mohammed bin Ali Harbi won the scorer award with 4 goals. Also, the student Khalid bin Jassim Al-Dossari won the award of the best goalkeeper.
