As the reliance on technology continues to expand in offices across the Nation, the role of the office professional has greatly evolved. Office automation and organizational restructuring have led professionals to assume a wider range of new responsibilities. In the midst of these changes their core responsibilities have remained much the same if not more. Knowledge of application software is key to the effective performances.

This is an introductory course, which offers the trainees the opportunity to learn typing by touch method. Trainees will become skilled to master the basic key board. Practical exercises are done in order to develop speed accuracy and correct typing technique. The minimum speed is set at 20 words per minute and accuracy 95% .

This course is designed to provide the trainees with the knowledge on the concept of information technology hardware and software. It trains them on the graphical user interface of using MS Windows, and the widely needed application packages in the area of Word processing, spreadsheet and telecommunications in order to prepare for ICDL .
